On 5 June, AINOW Society took part in The AI Collective Skopje | Humans in AI Week: AI Literacy for Teachers, held at the Amphitheatre of ФИНКИ — Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FCSE), Skopje.
The event focused on one of the most important topics in education today: how teachers, students, and schools can understand and use artificial intelligence in a responsible, practical, and human-centered way.

As part of the program, Suad Seferi, President and Founder of AINOW Society, presented the AINOW — AI Literacy Platform, available at edu.ainow.mk. The platform was developed to make artificial intelligence education more accessible in local languages and to support teachers, students, and the wider public in understanding AI, its opportunities, and its risks.

The presentation highlighted the importance of building AI literacy not only through tools, but also through knowledge, critical thinking, and responsible use. By offering educational resources in a local context, the AINOW — AI Literacy Platform aims to help communities engage with artificial intelligence in a more informed and inclusive way.

The event also featured Prof. Dr. Sead Džigal, who was one of the presenters and took part in a live podcast discussion with Prof. Dr. Vladimir Trajkovik on the ethical use of AI in education. The conversation explored how AI can be used responsibly in teaching and learning, while addressing key questions around ethics, bias, transparency, media literacy, and the role of educators in guiding students through the AI era.

Another important part of the event was the presentation by Igor Bogdanoski, who introduced an application developed for math teachers. His contribution showed how practical AI-supported tools can help educators create new learning experiences and support classroom innovation.
Together, the sessions brought forward different perspectives on AI literacy, local-language educational resources, practical AI tools for teachers, ethical AI use, digital and media literacy, gamification, and innovation in education.

For AINOW Society, this event was an important opportunity to continue our mission of making artificial intelligence more understandable, accessible, and useful for communities across the region.
We are grateful to The AI Collective Skopje and ФИНКИ for creating space for this important conversation, and to everyone who joined the session and contributed to the discussion on the future of AI in education.
Through initiatives like this, we believe that AI literacy can become a shared foundation for more informed, responsible, and inclusive use of technology in schools and society.
